Independent Spirit Award Nominations

The Indepedendent Spirit Award nominations came out yesterday, and I found out I have to catch up. I've seen "Little Miss Sunshine," "Bubble," "The Illusionist," "Friends With Money," "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Thank You For Smoking," all of which were good except "Thank You For Smoking," which I found to be quite square. "The Road to Guantanamo" is available on DVD, as "Half Nelson," Ryan Fleck's film that I desperately sought out to no avail, arrives February 13 on DVD. I badly want to grab a ticket to "Man Push Cart" and "Pan's Labyrinth," as well. So, for what it's worth, a list (below) of the nominations for the Independent Spirit Awards.
