The Bulletin: DiCaprio to Play the 'Fool'

Leonardo DiCaprio will happen upon fraud, corruption and paper shredders in the thick of an after-hours orgy (don't ask) as a new employee at Enron in "Conspiracy of Fools," an adaptation of New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald's nonfiction about the energy conglomerate's enormous financial implosion in 2001, for Warner Bros., reports Variety. Sheldon Turner ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning") wrote the script. DiCaprio will produce. No word yet on a director.

Damon, Wahlberg to Fight the Good 'Fight'
Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg will star in "The Fighter," about Massachusetts bruiser Micky "Irish" Ward's unlikely climb to be a lightweight champion with the support of half-brother Dicky as his KO'd trainer, for Paramount Pictures, reports Variety. Paul Attanasio ("Donnie Brasco," "The Good German") will rewrite Lewis Collick's script. Production will begin in the summer in Massachusetts. No word yet on a director.

Coppola in Argentina
Francis Ford Coppola will produce and direct "Tetro," a saga about an artistic immigrant family in Argentina, with Matt Dillon to star, reports Variety. Coppola wrote the script, and plans to begin production in Buenos Aires in the autumn. Coppola's next film, "Youth Without Youth," an adaptation of Romanian philosopher Mircea Eliade's novella with Tim Roth, Alexandra Maria Lara and Bruno Ganz, is currently in post-production.
