The Bulletin: Crowe Joins DiCaprio in 'Lies'

Russell Crowe will star with Leonardo DiCaprio in Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies," an adaptation of David Ignatius' novel about a CIA agent in pursuit of an Al Qaeda operative, reports Variety. Steven Zaillian ("American Gangster") will polish William Monahan's script. Donald De Line and Scott will produce, and Michael Costigan will executive produce. "Body of Lies" will shoot in Washington, D.C., Europe and the Middle East. "Lies" will be the fourth partnership between Crowe and Scott.

Gosling to Star in 'Bones'
Ryan Gosling ("Half Nelson") will star with Rachel Weisz in Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones," an adaptation of Alice Sebold's novel in which a slain girl, Susie Salmon, observes her own family's grief — and her killer's deeds — on Earth in the afterlife, reports Variety. Jackson wrote the script with Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh ("The Lord of the Rings," "King Kong"). Carolynne Cunningham, Jackson, Walsh and Aimee Peyronnet will produce, and Tessa Ross will executive produce with Ken Kamins and Jim Wilson. Production begins in October in Pennsylvania and New Zealand.

Bulter Cast in Ritchie's Next
Gerard Butler, Idris Elba, Ludacris, Thandie Newton and Tom Wilkinson will star in Guy Ritchie's "RocknRolla," in which a Russian mobster attracts London's criminal underground into a nefarious land deal, reports Variety.

50 Cent Joins De Niro, Pacino in 'Kill'
50 Cent will star with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in Jon Avnet's "Righteous Kill," a thriller about detectives in pursuit of a serial killer, reports Variety. Russell Gewirtz ("Inside Man") wrote the script. Production will begin Aug. 6 in Connecticut.

'Eastern Promises' Trailer Available
The trailer for David Cronenberg's "Eastern Promises" (Sept. 14), with Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts, is available in Quicktime at Yahoo! Movies.
