Guillermo Del Toro ("Pan's Labyrinth") will write, direct and produce "Champions," an adaptation of Monty Berman and Dennis Spooner's 1968-69 British TV series about a squad of secret government agents with superhuman abilities, reports Variety. United Artists' Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner will produce, and Robert Green will executive produce.
