The Bulletin: Broadbent Joins 'Half-Blood Prince'

Jim Broadbent ("Bridget Jones' Diary," May's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull") will star as Horace Slughorn, a starstruck scholar of magic, in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (Nov. 21, 2008), reports Dark Horizons.

Saldana Aboard 'Star Trek' as Uhura
Zöe Saldana (February's "Vantage Point") will star as Uhura in J.J. Abrams' rehabilitation of "Star Trek" (Dec. 25, 2008), in which Abrams expands on the Enterprise crew's ascendancy at Starfleet Academy, reports Variety. Saldana joins Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock and Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci wrote the script. Bryan Burk and Damon Lindelof will executive produce with Kurtzman and Orci.
