The Bulletin: Michael Moore's 'Sicko' Trailer

The trailer for Michael Moore's latest salvo "Sicko" (June 29), an examination of America's dysfunctional health-care system, is available to view at Moviefone.

'Treasure 2' Teaser Available
The teaser for "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" (Dec. 21), with Nicolas Cage, Jon Voight, Ed Harris and Helen Mirren, is available in Quicktime at Yahoo! Movies.

Myers as Walter Mitty
Mike Myers is in talks to star in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," a remake of the Norman Z. McLeod's 1947 comedy classic about a pathological daydreamer, reports Variety. Samuel Goldwyn Jr. and John Goldwyn will produce at 20th Century Fox. Jay Kogen (TV's "The Simpsons") will write the script. Danny Kaye was the star of the original. Myers' next: "The Love Guru" (June 20, 2008), about an eccentric couples counselor. In development: "See Me, Feel Me: Keith Moon Naked for Your Pleasure," with Myers to star as The Who's Keith Moon; an adaptation of the humorous survival guide "How to Survive a Robot Uprising"; and, possibly, a fourth "Austin Powers" with Dr. Evil as the focus.

Cage Drops Out as Capone
Nicolas Cage will not star as a younger Al Capone in Brian De Palma's "The Untouchables: Capone Rising," per previous reports, due to conflicts in Cage's schedule, reports Variety. Gerald Butler ("300"), nonetheless, will star as a young Jimmy Malone in the prequel. Sean Connery was cast as Malone in De Palma's own "The Untouchables" (1987).

Gere to Star in 'Hachiko'
Richard Gere will star in "Hachiko: A Dog's Story," about a college professor's unbreakable bond with a stray dog, reports Variety. Gere will produce. Production begins in September.

Haggis to Rewrite Next Bond
Paul Haggis ("Casino Royale," "Crash") will return to rewrite the next James Bond script, reports The Los Angeles Times. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade ("The World is Not Enough," "Die Another Day") wrote the draft.

Neill Joins 'Daybreakers'
Sam Neill ("Jurassic Park") will star with Ethan Hawke in "Daybreakers," a futuristic thriller in which vampires attempt to save humanity in order to salvage the blood supply, reports Screen Daily. Peter and Michael Spierig ("Undead") wrote the script and will direct for Lionsgate, with production to begin in Australia in July.

King to Direct 'Sex and the City'
Michael Patrick King, executive producer, director and writer of HBO's "Sex and the City," will direct an adaptation for multiplexes, reports MTV. Meanwhile, series regular Mario Cantone says Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall or Chris Noth have yet to be cast. They called me about my availability, but nothing’s negotiated," said Cantone. "Hopefully if all the negotiations go well, it will happen in the fall. HBO's just gotta give everybody what they want. It better get done cause I want to do it."

McTiernan to Direct 'Run'
John McTiernan ("Predator," "Die Hard") will direct "Run," in which an Interpol agent uncovers a conspiracy of fraud, reports Variety. Karl Urban ("Pathfinder," "The Bourne Supremacy") will star. The script for the $30 million thriller, reportedly, includes 100 pages of car chases. Michael Pierce and Mark Williams will produce, and Future Films will executive produce. Production will begin in August in London.

'Golden Compass' Trailer Available
The trailer for "The Golden Compass" (Dec. 7), with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, is available to view in Quicktime at Yahoo! Movies.

"Kickin' It Old Skool," with Jamie Kennedy, will be available for rental and purchase Aug. 28; Tom Tykwer's "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer," July 24; "Hannibal Rising," May 29 (From June 5); and "Fracture," with Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, Aug. 14.
