"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" (C), a choppy slurry of ends and pieces (i.e. chum), was able to plunder $17 million in ticket receipts on Thursday night at a record 4,362 sites. Alas, no records broken yet, not even for a Thursday ("Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" maintains the Thursday record with $50 million). Arrrrgh.
